How much does cloud playout cost?
Launch is $254 per channel per month billed yearly, or $299 month to month. FAST is $679 yearly or $799 monthly. Studio is $1,274 yearly or $1,499 monthly. Every plan includes playout, graphics, ad insertion and delivery to every screen, with no bandwidth bill on top. Custom plans for broadcasters are priced on ask.
Is it priced per channel?
Yes. Every plan is per channel, per month. Run as many channels as you like and each one is billed on its own plan.
What happens after I sign up?
You pick a plan, check out, and get your channel dashboard. Upload media, drop it into a playlist or a schedule, and put the channel on air. A first channel can be broadcasting in minutes. If you would rather be shown around first, book a demo and we will set it up with you.
Can I see it first?
Yes. Ask us for a demo and we will walk you through it. There is no free trial, but there is no contract either: start any plan and cancel anytime.
What does billed yearly mean?
Pay for twelve months up front and save 15% versus month to month. You can switch between monthly and yearly at any time.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from your billing page. When you upgrade, the new features unlock right away. When you downgrade, the change applies at your next billing date, so you never lose time you have already paid for.
What counts as a concurrent viewer?
The number of people watching at the same moment, not per month. Viewers come and go all day, so a channel that peaks at 80 simultaneous viewers during the evening bulletin fits comfortably on Launch and can still reach a much larger monthly audience over the month. If your peaks outgrow the plan, turn ads on to double the limit, move up a tier, or talk to us.
What happens if I go over the viewer limit?
Anyone already watching keeps watching. While the channel is over its limit, new viewers are turned away until enough of the crowd leaves or you move up a tier. It clears on its own within a few minutes of dropping back under, and a brief spike will not trip it, so a big night does not take the channel down. Turning ads on doubles the limit.
Why is the viewer limit higher when ads are on?
Because a monetized audience pays for itself. We never charge you for bandwidth, so on a channel running no ads every extra viewer is simply our cost to carry. Switch on ad insertion and each viewer brings revenue we share in at $1 per thousand ads delivered, which covers the delivery and then some. So we can afford to carry twice as many of them. Ads are included on every plan, so the higher limit is one toggle away, and it applies to rev-share channels too.
Do I need my own hardware or CDN?
No. Playout, graphics, delivery to every screen, and ad insertion all run in the cloud. There is nothing to install and no servers to manage.
How does the 7-day money-back guarantee work?
Start any plan, and if it is not right for you, email us within 7 days of your first payment and we refund it in full. No forms, no exit interview. It applies to the first payment on a new channel, monthly or yearly.
