DMCA Copyright Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026
LIVEPLUSTV respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its customers to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. As a service provider, we host and deliver content uploaded and streamed by our customers; we do not pre-screen that content.
1. Filing a takedown notice
If you believe content delivered through the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (Section 3) that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it — e.g. the channel, stream URL, or playback page.
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Incomplete notices may delay our response.
2. What happens after we receive a valid notice
Upon receiving a compliant notice, we will act expeditiously to disable access to or remove the identified material — which may include stopping or de-provisioning the affected channel — and we will take reasonable steps to notify the affected customer and forward the notice, so they may submit a counter-notification if appropriate.
3. Designated Copyright Agent
Notices must be sent to our Designated Agent:
Copyright Agent: Legal Department
LIVEPLUSTV INC.
375 University Avenue, Suite 3279, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2J5, Canada
Email: [email protected]
This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.
4. Counter-notification
If you are a customer whose content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant or its agent.
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
5. Repeat-infringer policy
We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, suspend or terminate the accounts of customers who are repeat infringers. We track infringement notices per account and may terminate after repeated valid notices.
6. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Do not make false claims.
