Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how LIVEPLUSTV INC. (“LIVEPLUSTV”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information, and the choices and rights you have. We are a Canadian company based in Ontario. Because we expect users in Canada, the United States, and the European Union, this policy is written to address Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25) and, where it applies, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Visitors to our marketing website (
liveplustv.com). - Customers who create an account and use the LIVEPLUSTV dashboard to run channels.
- Viewers who watch channels our customers broadcast, to the limited extent described in “Viewer analytics” below.
It does not cover the content our customers choose to broadcast, or the ad demand and third-party ad tags a customer connects. When a customer streams to their own audience, the customer is responsible for their relationship with, and any privacy notices to, their viewers.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile
When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (stored only in a securely hashed form — we never store your password in plain text). To launch a channel we also collect your name, company name, and phone number, and a short onboarding survey (the kind of channel you plan to run, content category, target regions, expected audience size, and how you heard about us).
Authentication and security
To keep accounts secure and to detect abuse, we log IP address, browser user-agent, and sign-in events, including the approximate country of a sign-in where our network edge provides it. We also issue one-time verification codes and short-lived session tokens.
Billing and payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number or security code — these are entered directly into Stripe’s payment form. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan and billing period, and channel details. When you pay, we pass your name, email, and phone number to Stripe, and Stripe returns limited billing details (name, email, and billing address) that we retain as part of our billing and fraud/chargeback records.
Agreements and consent records
When you accept our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and DMCA Policy, we record which policy versions you accepted, the date/time, your IP address, and your browser user-agent as an immutable consent receipt. If you sign a monetization (ad-serving or revenue-share) agreement, we additionally store the exact agreement text, your typed/drawn signature, signer name and title, email, IP address, and timestamp as an electronic-signature record. These records exist to prove agreement and to support copyright and payment-dispute defense, and are retained for as long as needed for those purposes.
Communications
If you email us, book a demo, or submit an abuse or copyright report, we receive the information you provide (for example your name, email, phone, company, and the content of your message). Demo bookings are handled through a third-party scheduling provider.
If you contact our support by SMS or WhatsApp, or ask us to reply to you there, we receive your phone number and the content of the conversation, processed through our messaging provider (and, for WhatsApp, Meta). We use these channels for support conversations only, not marketing. By messaging us first, or giving us your number and asking for a reply by text, you consent to receiving those replies. Reply STOP at any time to end SMS messages (and HELP for help); message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier. WhatsApp conversations are additionally subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
Viewer analytics
When someone watches a channel, we collect aggregate playback and audience measurement data to give our customers analytics and to operate the service. This includes a rotating session identifier, coarse geography (country, city, and an approximate map location derived at the network edge), device and player type, network/ISP, and quality-of-experience signals (startup time, rebuffering, errors). This data is used in aggregate; it is not linked to a viewer’s name or account, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles of individual viewers.
Cookies and local storage
Our marketing site stores your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage and does not load non-essential analytics or advertising cookies unless you accept. The dashboard stores your sign-in tokens in your browser to keep you logged in. See our Cookie Policy for details.
3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, and provide the dashboard and playout service.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent and investigate fraud and chargebacks.
- Secure our systems, authenticate you, and detect and prevent abuse.
- Record and honour the agreements and consents you give us.
- Provide analytics to our customers and operate and improve the service.
- Communicate with you about your account, service changes, and support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations, including copyright (DMCA / notice-and-notice) and responding to lawful requests.
Legal bases (EU/UK users). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and aggregate analytics); consent (for non-essential cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.
4. How we share personal information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, and where required by law.

Business customers: where we process personal data on your behalf (such as your viewers’ analytics data), our Data Processing Addendum applies and governs that processing.
We may also disclose personal information to comply with the law, enforce our agreements, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of LIVEPLUSTV, our customers, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. International data transfers
We are based in Canada. Our primary database is hosted in the European Union, and our delivery and analytics providers operate globally, including in the United States. This means your personal information may be processed in, and transferred between, Canada, the EU, and the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with our providers.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described above:
- Account and profile data — for the life of your account.
- Billing and subscription records — as long as required for accounting, tax, and dispute purposes.
- Consent receipts and signed agreements — retained as legal evidence for as long as they may be needed to establish agreement or defend claims.
- Security and sign-in logs — for a limited period appropriate to security and fraud prevention.
- Viewer analytics — retained in aggregate; raw edge events are kept only for a short period before being reduced to aggregate rollups.
Some transient data (for example, unverified sign-up details) is deleted automatically within a short time if the sign-up is not completed.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your personal information (“right to erasure”), subject to records we must keep by law or to defend legal claims.
- Withdraw consent (for example, to non-essential cookies) at any time.
- Port certain information to another provider, and, where the GDPR applies, object to or restrict certain processing.
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects (we do not make such decisions).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
If you are in Canada and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information. If you are in the EU/UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We protect personal information with technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, secure credential storage, access controls, and limiting who and what can access production data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
9. Children
The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
